# Wowmet

> Wowmet is a free-time platform that helps people turn an available hour into a safe, one-to-one hangout at a public place.

Canonical page: https://wowmet.com

## Core idea

Loneliness is sometimes a scheduling problem rather than a lack of people. Wowmet lets a person post when they are free, choose a hangout type and public place, review nearby join requests, approve one person, and coordinate through a limited chat.

## How it works

1. Post a date, time window, hangout type, and public WowSpot.
2. Nearby Wowers can request to join.
3. The person who posted approves one request and meets that person one-to-one.

## Safety and product boundaries

- Wowmet is strictly for one-to-one hangouts.
- Public meeting places are required.
- The person posting approves every join request.
- The exact hangout spot is shown only to accepted connections.
- Limited direct messaging opens after approval.
- An optional OG Photo is captured live in the app with no filters, editing, or gallery upload.
- Wowmet is not swipe-based and does not use a matchmaking algorithm.
